Mag.a Karin Bruchbacher
PartnerKarin Bruchbacher is a partner in the corporate law team. Her practice focuses on data protection, IT, artificial intelligence (AI), compliance, and corporate law. She advises companies on the implementation of responsible digitization strategies and provides support on complex compliance and technology issues—from conception to implementation.
Her clients include companies from the IT, industrial, and financial sectors as well as public institutions. Karin began her legal career at renowned commercial law firms. Most recently, she was a partner at KPMG Law, where she headed the Data Protection/IT/IP and Commercial & Competition Law practice groups and played a key role in establishing legal consulting services in the areas of data protection and artificial intelligence. In September 2025, she joined FSM as a partner.
Outside of the law firm, she is passionate about her children, loves to travel, enjoy culinary highlights, and soak up the sun and lifestyle in Italy – she finds balance in Pilates and yoga.
